Frequently asked questions

Shopify, Amazon and paid ads:
every answer, in full.

Working with us

How we work together day to day, what gets signed, and what belongs to you. The questions clients ask us on calls, answered here once and for all.

You're in Mauritius and we're in Europe. How does that work in practice?

Mauritius is on UTC+4 all year round, with no daylight saving. That puts us three to four hours ahead of London and two to three ahead of Paris, depending on the season. In practice our mornings cover your night: you find the work already moved on when you get to your desk, and our afternoons overlap your morning for anything that needs discussing. We're reachable every weekday, by phone and on WhatsApp, and we usually reply within minutes. By email, allow a few hours depending on the subject. For anything urgent, we stay available at weekends.

How often do we have calls?

At least one video call a month. Depending on how intense the project is, that goes up to a weekly check-in, sometimes more during a launch. Between calls we keep you posted through whichever channel you prefer: Google Meet, WhatsApp, email, Slack or Notion. We agree that at the start, around your habits rather than ours.

What language do you work in?

English and French, either way. Calls, reports, working documents, published content: you pick the language, and it changes neither the price nor the timeline.

Who do we deal with day to day?

The people doing the work. Quentin leads e-commerce strategy, Amazon and advertising. Romane handles art direction and user experience. You deal with them directly, not with a salesperson or an account manager in between.

How is our engagement formalized?

Through a detailed proposal that serves as the contract. It sets out the scope, the deliverables, the timeline, the fees and the governing law. We adjust it if your organization has specific requirements. Nothing starts before it's signed, so you know exactly what you're buying.

What currency do you invoice in?

In euros, US dollars or Mauritian rupees, depending on where the project sits. Clients based outside Mauritius are invoiced in euros or US dollars.

Is VAT charged on your invoices?

Our invoices carry no VAT for any business operating outside Mauritius. Mauritian VAT applies only to businesses trading on Mauritian soil. If you're VAT-registered in the UK or the EU, you account for the tax yourself under the usual reverse charge on services bought from outside your territory. Your accountant will have seen it many times.

Is there a minimum commitment?

For ad management, two months minimum: that's how long campaigns need to come out of the learning phase and produce data worth acting on. After that, you stop whenever you want. For every other project, no minimum term.

Who owns my accounts and my content?

You do, without exception. Your Amazon, Shopify, Google, Meta, Helium 10 and any other accounts stay yours. So does your content: ad creative, photos, video. We only ever act as an authorized third party, added with partner access to your own tools. We never hold ownership of your accounts, and the day we stop working together you keep your full history.

Do you work with my direct competitors?

We handle that case by case, and we discuss it with you before committing to anything. If your market is narrow or your positioning sensitive, say so on the first call: we'll tell you plainly what we can guarantee and what we can't. A non-disclosure agreement can be signed alongside the contract.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and we'd rather say so upfront than afterwards. We commit every resource we have to hitting the commercial and operational targets we set together, using proven methods and decisions grounded in your data. But an e-commerce project carries a share of risk that depends neither on you nor on us: competitors, platform decisions, the market itself. We commit to the effort, the method and full transparency, not to a guaranteed figure.

Getting started
